Materials:
You will need a 16" #6 or #7 circular needle and DK or sport yarn [if
you use heavier yarn it will not drape well.] I use lots of bits and pieces
from stash and use a reversible rib pattern like k3, p2 or k2, p1 on an
uneven st number so it moves 1 st each row but you can do what ever you
wish. You will want a finished circle of about 25 to 28".
I don't do wide stripes and use a limited color way with variegated yarns thrown in. Purples is popular also reds.
Last one was for the mail person in US Mail blues. Thought it would
even please a guy as it is just a scarf that stays in place and keeps the
back of your neck warm. Made one for the "cleaning" woman as she always
has her hands full. DGDs are 10 and 11 and do not want one
unless every other girl in their class is wearing one too. (It isn't
very cold for very long here in Atlanta.)
These are really very flattering on us older women with turkey necks.
No brainer knitting and uses up stash, just have to weave in all the
ends.
