I used Gusto in Black for this sweater.
Pattern:
With smaller circular needle, cast on 50 sts, place marker, cast
on 50 sts, place marker, join.
Work in K2, P2 rib for 8 rounds [2.5"].
Rib-to-Body Inc Round
Work 7 [inc 1 in next st, work 6, inc 1 in next st, work
7] 1x [inc 1 in next st, work 6] 4x to first marker. Repeat sequence
to end.
Body:
With larger needles, work in st st until piece meas 15" [row 38].
Work Sleeves
Join Sleeves and Body
Work 51 body sts, place marker, place next 10 sts on holder [removing
original marker], work 34 sleeve sts, place marker, work to 5 sts before
second marker, place marker, place next 10 sts on holder [removing second
marker], place marker, work 34 sleeve sts, place marker.
Raglan Decrease
Work even in st st until 1" from sleeve join [3 rounds].
Dec 1 st each side of marker, working k2, k2tog after each marker and ssk*, k2 on the 4 sts before each marker every 2 rounds 15x and, at the same time when piece measures 23" [row 62]
Begin Neck Shaping
Work to center 8 sts, place center 8 sts on holder, turn. Begin working
back and forth. Dec 1 st at each neck edge, every other row 4x.
Continue in st st until piece meas 26" [row 72].
Leave remaining sts on needle. Break yarn.
Finishing:
Graft underarm sleeve sts to underarm body sts.
Cowl Neck Finishing
Change to smaller size 16" circular needle and RS facing, pick
up 8 sts from left neck edge, knit 8 sts from holder, pick up 8 sts from
right neck edge, knit back neck sts from body needle, place marker, join.
Work in K2, P2 rib for 1".
Increase needle size one size every inch until desired depth. Bind off loosely.
Sleeves:
With smaller dp needles, cast on 22 sts. Place marker. Join.
Work in rib for 8 rounds [2.5"].
Rib-to-Sleeve-Inc Round
[Work 7 inc 1 in next st, work 6 inc 1 in next st] 1x, work 7.
Sleeve Increases
With #15 ndls, work in st st.
Inc 1 st on each side of marker every 4 rounds 6 times.
Then every 5 rounds 4 times.
Continue in st st until piece measures 17.5" [round 46].
End last round 5 sts before marker. Place next 10 sts on holder. Place
remaining sleeve sts on scrap yarn.
*ssk: slip next 2 sts [one at a time] from left needle to right needle as if to knit. Insert left needle in front of these 2 sts and knit them tog through back loop.
