OK so far for the pattern, this is not an elaborate pattern, a four year old can do it... but these liners make wonders. If you have child or grandchild in cloth diapers, give it a try even if only from scrap cotton yarn. I though about knitting diaper liners after realising how soft my cotton washcloths were after washing and how they would feel great in a diaper. Well, I did not put a washcloth in my daughter's diaper, but now I use knitted liners instead of flannel ones. They are *really* absorbent.
Sizes:
Newborn, (Infant, Toddler)
Materials:
1- 50 g (1 3/4 oz) ball of worsted weight cotton or cotton scrap yarn,
a mix of hemp/cotton would be great too
3.75 mm (F) knitting needles (smaller needles for added thickness and
absorbancy)
Gauge:
Not really important but mine is 18 sts and 36 row in *garter st*,
on 3.75 mmm needles.
Pattern:
Cast on 20, (25, 30) sts.
Work in garter st. until for 8, (12, 15) inches.
Cast off.
Ta-da! Quick, cheap, hand-made and super absorbent diaper liners.
Soak and wash like your cloth diapers.
