| Pattern Stitch: | Knit first
six rows of body pieces in garter stitch.( Ribbing may be substituted if
you prefer.) Thereafter, knit in stockinette stitch, except knit every 7th row (the wrong side) instead of purling it. The sleeves may be knit from the wrist up, in which case knit the first five rows in garter,and sew the sleeves on. I prefer to pick up at the top and knit down for sleeves. |
