Sew button on the base of the bib on the side opposite the strap

Pattern Note: The pattern assumes you use Sugar n Cream or Peaches n Cream or Lion Cotton they will knit to this gauge; with Sugar Babies
yarn, I use size 8 needles, cast on 27 sts instead of 25, knit until square, bind off so that 5 sts are left and otherwise follow the pattern above; for
Aunt Lydia's Denim yarn, I use size 7 needles, cast on 30 sts, knit until square, bind off so that 5 sts are left, etc. You may also have to alter
your button size if you use thinner yarn.

Suggested Variations: It seems to me that the basic pattern could easily be altered. I have considered making these in a seed stitch, moss stitch, or
you could use a non curling border stitch pattern and make the center in stockinette. It would be possible to incorporate a stripe pattern
with the garter stitch as well. I designed this when we couldn't find an easy production/quick knit baby bib pattern for Stitching Smiles, a group in
Nebraska that knits/crochets items for charity.
