| Notes from Author: A few years ago I wanted to make some burp cloths to go with wash cloths in cotton. I used the old dishcloth pattern and made them in a diamond shape. | |
Pattern:
Cast on 3 stitches. Knit one row, turn. K2, YO, Knit across. When you have 40 stitches on the needle, knit enough rows in garter stitch that it will be the length you need. Then decrease by K1, K2tog, YO, K across.
This makes a diamond shaped burper that fits nicely over the shoulder. Crochet or sew 2 together and it is thick enough for protection.
