Afghan

From: deirdre@deeny.MV.COM (Deirdre)

The first is an afghan, which I saw at a friend's. She says it's ancient.
It's made up in strips on large needles like so:

RS: K5, K8, P3, K8, P3, K8, P3, K8, K5
WS: K5, P8, K3, P8, K3, P8, K3, P8, K5

Every twelve rows, cross the 8 stitch cables.

Obviously, knit to length and add more strips until you have desired width.
The yarn used was about Lopi weight.
