BABY BERET

Supplies:
# 3 DP's
less than 1 skein -baby thickness yarn

1.  CO 60 sts and evenly divide.
2.  k2, p2 rib for 12 rows
     can throw in a cable half way up
3.  k2tog, yo for one row
4.  k next row placing markers every 5 or 8 or 10sts
5.  then *yo, p1, k to next marker* rep for 1 round -
          this is increase row
6.  *p1, k to next marker* repeat for 1 round - plain row
7.  repeat these two rows for about 12 rows
8.  then for the next 8-12 rows *p1, k to marker*
        OR place your pattern that matches the blankie here.
9.  then *p2tog, k to next marker* rep for 1 round - decrease row
repeat plain row and decrease row til you are out of stitches.     
(knit a round or two if necessary keeping with pattern)
make pompom or sew button on top

this takes me about two evenings to make.
