Easy Twist Brioche Scarf

Easy Twist Brioche Scarf
**********************

Materials:
Size 10 (US) straight or circular needle(s)
        2-3 ounces (50-75 g) mohair--I used an unbrushed mohair

Gauge:
        Approximately 12 st/4 in (12 st/10 cm)
[Note: I didn't actually do a gauge swatch for this, but 38 st are
         approximately 11in ( 28 cm) wide]

NOTE: Knit with two strands of yarn throughout.

CO 38 sts. K 1 row. Work in pattern stitch for 35 inches (89 cm). K 1
row. BO loosely.

CO = cast on BO=bind off or knit off

Pattern Stitch [Twist Brioche Stich]
        Rows 1 and 2: K1, *YO, Sl 1 wyib, K2tog*, repeat til end, K1.
Row 3: K1, *K1, skip 1st, K YO of previous row and leave new stitch on
needle, K st before that YO and slip both from needle
                together*, repeat til end, K1.

Sl 1 wyib = slip 1 stitch with yarn in back

[Note: Row 3 seems to be harder than it actually is. Email
privately if you have problems with it. The process is similar to that for mock
cables. See B. Walker's Knitting Treasuries for more info.]

Finishing:
Fringe ends.
