Rounds 1, 2 and 4: p1, k3, p2, k1 tbl, p1
Round 3: p1, k 3rd st on left needle from the front (as opposed to
going around the back of the work), k2, p2, k1 tbl, p1


For flat knitting:

Row 1: p1, k3, p2, k1tbl, p1
Rows 2 and 4: k1, p1 tbl, k2, p3, k1
Row 3: p1, k 3rd st on left needle from the front (as opposed to
going around the back of the work), k2, p2, k1 tbl, p1

This makes a well-defined pattern which shows off well in a fine Yarn
