Koala Beret

Materials: 2 skeins Berroco's KOALA Chenille (50 yds/100 gm skein)
Needles: Size 7 and 9 - 16" circular; Size 9 Double Pointed
Gauge: 2-1/2 sts = 1" on Size 9 in stockinette

With Size 7 needles, LOOSELY cast on 54 sts. Join in a circle, place
a marker, being sure not to twist. Work in twisted rib as follows:

Row 1: K1b, P1 wrapping yarn backwards
(this will put the purl stitch on the needle backwards).
Row 2: K1, P1 (purl stitch will be twisted automatically on this row).

Repeat these 2 rows once more.

Increase Row: *K2, inc in next stitch; repeat from * around = 72 sts.

Change to Size 9 needles and continue in stockinette until piece
measures 5-1/2" from beginning.
