MOHAIR STOLE

MATERIALS: I used Dive Mohair and it took 8- 50g balls, almost 780 yards at
the MOST, and less if you don't want it as long. I used size #11- 24 inch
circulars (American), and the finished gauge worked out to be about 3
stitches to the inch.
(TIP: a solid or mildly variegated color, heathered is pretty, looks best!
Too much color, like an ombre, may look spotty when knitted up)

CAST ON: 72 stitches (I used a very LOOSE cable cast-on)

PATTERN:

ROWs 1-6, KNIT (makes three ridges)
ROW 7: K3, Purl across to last 3 stitches, then K3
ROW 8: Knit across
REPEAT rows 7 and 8 for pattern and make stole as long as you want. I
measured the width of my armspan from fingertip to fingertip and added 12
inches for the length of the stole. At the END: KNIT three more ridges byknitting
six rows (making three matching ridges) to match the beginning of
the stole. It has a nice border or tray effect around it. I wetted the
stole with a little Eucalan wool wash, rolled it in a large towel to remove
excess moisture, and blocked it out (will straighten the curling edges
perfectly) and it is so light, warm and cuddly!
