pins

Reindeer Pin

Supplies:
Miniature flat clothespins (the bag I got
at Ben Franklin called them Dollipins)
     5mm pompoms (assorted colors)
     3mm or 4mm wiggle eyes
Metallic cord (needs to be fairly stiff)
     Pin backs
     Hot glue gun

Procedure:

On a mini clothespin, glue a red pompom
on the rounded end, 2 wiggle eyes on the
curved edges midway to where the clothespin
splits, and 1 colored pompom on each side
of the clothespin just under the split with
a short piece of cord connecting the 2 poms.
Glue a pin on the back and you have
Rudolph himself!

If you don't want to use this as a pin, it
would also be a cute package topper or
tree ornament.

Lightbulb Pin

Supplies:

Christmas tree light bulbs (not the
mini ones, but the ones with
the shank that screws into the
          socket)
Christmas ribbon (I used the red &
green plaid that's the same on
          both sides)
     Holly stem (fake, of course)
     Pin backs
Hot glue gun (IMHO, hot glue sticks
          better than low melt)

Procedure:

Make a bow with the ribbon, glue onto the
bulb at the "screw in" end. Glue a sprig of
holly onto the center of the bow (it hides
the center of the bow which I just can't seem
to get nice looking!). Glue a pin back on the
back of the bulb.

I also have a mini sock ornament that I'd
willingly share - I've changed it so much it's
not like any other I've seen - but it's machine
knit. Let me know if you want it anyway.

Hugs to all.
