XMAS BRAIDED WREATH

1 ball (50 gr) of three colors: red, white, and green wortsted weight yarn
1 pr 4.5 mm needles for hand knitting
keyplate #3

cast on about 22 sts [or to the width you want] in first color
knit straight for 220 rows
cast off the last row

make the same strip for the remaining two colors

brait the 3 strips together ending in the same braiding color sequence
as you started [ie:green matches to green, etc.]
sew the matching ends together and decorate as desired

my girlfriend puts battery operated mini lights thru the wreath and bits
of tinsel..looks great!

**bonus: by knitting fewer rowsyou can make a braided headband for a xmas gift..
knit about 160 rows for adult and 140 rows for a child!..they look great!  _
