Ingredients:
1 pkg Angel Food Cake Mix
1 - 7 oz marshmallow cream
1 Tbsp. hot water
1 Tbsp. instant coffee granules
1 tsp. vanilla
1 C heavy cream (whip cream)
Semi-sweet chocolate (grated slivered almonds (lightly toasted if desired)
Maraschino cherries
Method:
Make Angel Food cake as per directions in an Angel food cake pan. Invert
to cool. Whip heavy cream till stiff.
Mix marshmallow cream, hot water, coffee and vanilla - then gently
fold in to whipped cream.
Cut angel food cake in half (I leave a little more than half on the bottom). Put a generous amount of cream mixture in the middle, sprinkle with shaved chocolate. Put on top of cake.
Put remaining cream mixture on top. Sprinkle with chocolate shaving and almonds.
Note: Do NOT grease the angel food pan. Add 1 heaping Tablespoon vanilla instant pudding mix to whipping cream when whipping to help it hold its fluffiness.
