For Valentines day my wife makes them in heart-shaped pans from Wilton to give to some of our students in the dorms. Our kids take them for special treats - great for when they tell you at the last minute that they have to take something. Becka just keeps cake mixes and chocolate chips on hand for just such "emergencies". Also, the yellow cake mix can be other flavors for variety. One of our favorites is chocolate cake with the chocolate chips!!! M-m-m-m!
Hope that you all enjoy this recipe. My wife's recipe file is one the national treasures!! The family has been informed that in case of fire, grab the recipe file!!
