Pattern:

NOTE: Three strands of yarn are used throughout.

With smaller needles cast on 40 (45-50) sts.

Change to larger needles and Stock. st. (K 1 row, P 1 row).

Work even until piece measures 10 1/2 (11-11 1/2)" from beginning or desired length to underarm, (this is a semi cropped length so measure to be sure of length you want and also allow for more yarn if you add length) ending wrong side. Mark last row.

Armhole Shaping
Bind off 3 (4-5) sts at beginning of next two rows.

Dec 1 st each side every other row 3 times 33 (36-39) sts.

Work even until armholes measure 8 (8 1/2-9)" above marked row ending on wrong side.

Do not bind off, put stitches on holders for knitted seam method.

Front Neck Shaping
Bind off 6 sts at beginning of next row.

With smaller needles cast on 22 (23-26) sts.

Cap Shaping
Bind off 3 (4-5) sts at beginning of next two rows. Decrease 1 st sts at beg of next 2 rows. Bind off remaining sts.

Knitted seam method: with sts. on 2 needles, wrong sides out, knit one st. from each needle and bind off in usual manner.
