Quick, Easy, GORGEOUS Scarf

Materials:
Any heavy mohair type yarn, 6 balls or so in one color, and 1 ball of glitzy eyelash type novelty yarn in a contrasting color (I used a bright red acrylic/mohair blend and white glittery stuff for contrast)

I used 6mm double points and the mohair

Pattern:
Cast on 3 stitches, join to form a round.

1st round: knit, increasing in each stitch

2nd round: same as first row, except when you do your first increase, use the eyelash yarn for the second wrap of the first increase (when you knit through the back loop)

3rd row: same as above, except move the eyelash yarn over one stitch.(to the first wrap of the second increase)

Continue increasing this way until it's as big around as you want, (I went to 46 stitches), Always moving the eyelash yarn over one stitch. This creates a very pretty, sparkly spiral round and round the scarf.

When you get close to the end of your yarn, start decreasing every st. K2 together works just fine. ONE CATCH - you'll have to weave in yarn ends from new balls as you go, as this creates a tube. Also, I left long enough tails on the cast on and cast off ends to tie on a little jingle bell!

This sounds pretty fiddly for the beginning, but if you want, just cast on the number of stitches you want, knit in the round, moving the eyelash yarn over one stitch every row, and when you' ve reached the end of your yarn, thread the tails through and draw it up tight. (I never thought of this at the beginning) The beauty of this scarf is that you can use whatever you have in the stash, make it as long or as short as you wish, on as large size needles as you wish, and it takes VERY little time.
