Ingredients:
1 lb Ground Beef or Turkey, Browned
16 oz tomatoes (1 can)
1 onion, large, chopped
1/2 tsp garlic
16 oz tomato sauce (1 can)
4 oz Green chilies (1 can)
16 oz Thick and Chunky Salsa
16 oz yellow hominy (1 can), drained
16 oz Ranch Style Beans (1 can) with Jalapeño
16 oz Kidney Beans
1 Taco Seasoning Mix (1 pkg)
3 c water
1 c Colby and Monterey Jack Cheese, grated
Tortilla Chips
Sour Cream
Method:
Brown ground beef with onion and garlic. I use the garlic that's all
cut up in a little jar.
Add remaining ingredients and simmer.
Serve with grated cheese, tortilla chips and sour cream, if desired. I like to crush some of the chips and pour the soup over them. Then you can top with more chips, cheese, etc.
Plain Ranch Style beans can be used. We just like the extra zing of the can that includes the Jalapeños.
