Yogurt Coffee Cake

Ingredients:
Cake
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 and 1/2 cups sifted flour (I never sift it, actually - no sifter)
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup Vanilla yogurt or sour cream

Topping
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans
2 tsp cinnamon

Method:
Cream butter and sugar. Mix in eggs and vanilla (will appear curdled).

Add dry ingredients alternately with yogurt.

Pour half of batter into greased 13 x 9 inch pan.

Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle a third of this mixture over batter. Top with rest of batter then with rest of topping. Bake at 375 F for about 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
