stitch, K1, knit in the front and back of the next stitch, around.
(63) stitches
Do a round of plain knit and switch to a 16" circular needle.
Mark the stitches at the side for placement of your pattern. I
used
a lattice lace stitch over 13 stitches this time with an 18 round
repeat. So I counted over 9 stitches and placed a marker for the
beginning of the pattern stitch. I placed another marker after 13
stitches.

Repeat these 18 rounds for pattern stitch on side of leg warmer.
I make leg warmers anywhere from 4 feet to 6 feet in length so
that
they bunch up and keep the length of the leg warm.
I like to run thread elastic through the first few rounds of ribbing.
I make the cuff long enough that it folds over, usually about 6
inches.
