They are very warm and cute, and I loved them at first sight. I immediately set to work at creating my own, and I've got one finished. It's in black and white acrylic. I had it in mind for a gift pattern, but I couldn't think of a name for them. They look very much like papooses off, so I told my dad that. He thought I said "papusa," but they're papooses. This is a very simple pattern. Enjoy!
Materials:
US Size 10 straight needles
1 skein MC, 1 skein CC in worsted weight. If it gets real cold you might
want to use a thicker yarn. (You probably don't need that much. I could
knit them and a pair of gloves with a skein. I didn't measure though)
crochet hook
yarn needle
Gauge:
For these instructions, I had about 3.5 sts to an inch and about 6.5
rows to an inch.
Size:
These instructions are for a women's medium size foot (mine!). I tried
on most of my friends, it fit without getting too big on a size 5, and
it fit all the way up to size 10. It's easily modified.
