Fits a child or small adult. For larger adult use size 8 needles.

Jingle Bells, Xmas Buttons or Plain contrasting Buttons
A button that is star shaped, approximately 1 inch in diameter.

Finishing:
Break yarn leaving a tail. Thread the tail through a needle and pull
the end of the yarn through the last loop. Sew the star shaped button on
top. Turn the hat inside out and seam holes to form the point of the boughs.
Decorate with bells, buttons, etc. to simulate ornaments. Try a ribbon
garland.
Also can be used as a table decoration covering a coffee can or to cover an extra roll of bath tissue.
