MacPotholder Graph

Cast on with twist 45 stitches.
**work 2 rows in stockinette(st.st.) whole potholder is worked in st.st.

begin row 1 of graph
work all the way trough the chart. ( 3 blocks of argyle ) intarsia for the
diamonds , fair isle  for the crosslines.  It is quite easy .

When chart has been completed work 2 rows in twist only.***

Now choose 1 colour,  does not mater which as it will be inside the P.H.
Cut off all other colours and tie on the colour of your choice.
in stst work 44rows.

Cut off this colour and re join twist. Repeat from ** to *** This one will
be the wrong way around

cast off ( bind off)
You now have a piece of  knitted cloth that has argyle -plain-argyle inside
out.
secure all the loose ends.  if you are tying the strands make sure they are
very secure!! ( experience speaking!)

Now you are going to fold the whole thing concertina wise / \ /
So the you have an argyle sandwich!  sew open ends so you now have a pad.
Lightly press with steam iron and a damp cloth over pad.  You could add a
few drops of cinnamon oil to the PH  so when it gets warm you will have
that wonderful holiday scent.
All thats left now is to attatch a twisted , or crocheted cord  or ribbon!

I hope this is clear!   Happy Holidays to everyone!
