Here is my tried & true dishcloth pattern. I've made hundreds of
them! Sell them for at least $2.50 or $3.00. In solid color Sugar
& Cream you should be able to get 2 cloths out of 1 ball in
variegated you can get 3 cloths out of 2 balls (less yardage)
1) Cast on 4 stitches
2) Knit 4 stitches
3) Knit 2 sts, yarnover, knit to end
Repeat Row 3 until there are 43 stitches on needle
Decrease as follows:
Knit 1, knit 2 together, yarnover, knit 2 together, knit to end
Repeat decrease until there are 7 stitches on the needle
Knit 1, Knit 2 together, yarnover, slip 1 stitch, knit 2 together, pass slipped stitch over the K2tog, Knit 1
Bind off 5 remaining stitches by casting off stitches 2 & 3 together.
