Gauge:
4sts = 1 inch
Pattern:
Cast on 64 stitches.
Rib in k2, p2 for 4 inches.
Work in stockinette stitch for a further 4 inches.
Total should be 8 inches from co edge.
Begin decreases for crown:
Row 1: K6, K2tog, rep to end
Row 2: Purl row
Row 3: K5, K2tog, rep to end
Row 4: Purl
Row 5: K4, K2tog, rep to end
Row 6: Purl
Keep on like this until there are 16 sts left, then k2tog across row. Break yarn , leaving a 12 inch tail. Thread a large eyed needle and weave through the 8 sts, pulling up tight and fastening off. Sew seam. I never attach a pom pom, but you may if you like.
