Join a KnitList WebRing
The KnitList has two webrings that list members
can join, one for KnitList
Blogs and one for KnitList
Vendors, depending on what type of web site you
have. If you are unsure of where you webring belongs after reading
the criteria, please ask the listmoms
before applying to join.
General guidelines (apply for both webrings):
- The KnitList webrings link the sites of fellow KnitListers
of every race, creed, sex, age, sexual orientation, and knitting
ability, from beginners to expert and everyone in between.
We expect webring members to maintain sites that respect the
spirit of the KnitList and remain free of prejudice.
- We reserve the right to let you know if we feel your site
belongs in the other webring.
- Your site or blog must be predominantly knitting, fiber
or craft-oriented. We reserve the right to reject sites that
aren't appropriate for the ring, or sites that change focus
over time.
- We will be checking sites periodically, and will remove
sites that that no longer meet the ring criteria and these
general guidelines.
- You must have a blog where you talk about knitting
at least half the time.
- You must post at least once a month.
- Your blog must have at least 3 posts before joining
the ring.
- Your blog must be at least half in English.
- You blog must not include commercially-oriented posts
(selling things to the public, such as yarn, stitch
markers, etc.) as more than half the content. If you
have a knitting blog but the majority of your posts
are updates about the handspun yarn you sell, the KnitList
Vendors Webring is the right ring for you, not
the KnitList Blogs WebRing.
- Ring members must respect the spirit of the KnitList
and their blogs must remain free of prejudice.
|
- Your commercially-oriented site or blog must be predominantly
knitting, fiber or craft-oriented. For example, you
can join the KnitList Vendors ring if your site sells
stitch markers and handspun yarn, but not if
you sell insurance or electronics.
- Your site must be up-to-date.
- If your site is a blog, you must have at least 3 posts.
- Your site must be at least half in English.
- Ring members must respect the spirit of the KnitList
and their sites must remain free of prejudice.
